🤝 Constructing Bright Futures 🤝

We're super excited to announce that we have teamed up with @_seegroup again this year to help transform the futures of all our students!

Over 2024, we will work closely together with those students who show interest in pursuing careers that align with SEE Group who deliver construction and engineering services for major infrastructure and urban development.

SEE Group celebrates a solid commitment to The BUSY School's mission of supporting disengaged and disadvantaged youth through holistic careers and opportunities. 📚💡

To end Queensland Youth Week, we're shining the spotlight on some of our school-based apprentices ✨

With the 2024 Queensland Training Awards coming up, we decided to nominate some of our Year 12 students from The BUSY School Cairns Campus, who have truly excelled in their apprenticeships, for the School-Based Apprentice of the Year Award for Far North Queensland region 🙌

Building Futures 🤩

The @apprenticeshipsqld (AQ) Building Futures Project has kicked off for 2024 and we are stoked to be part of it!

BUSY At Work are Platinum Sponsors of this program once again and budding carpenters from The BUSY School Ipswich Campus, Zac and Tyler, have been chosen to participate 👏

They will be undertaking their Certificate I in Construction while working on a live construction site, helping to renovate 4 Tallon St, Sadliers Crossing, Ipswich which will go on sale later this year. This will be the seventh house renovated by high school students under the watchful gaze of qualified tradesmen and volunteers from the Ipswich Men’s Shed.

During their time, Zac and Tyler will gain experience in painting, carpentry, concreting and landscaping. They will also have the opportunity to interact with current apprentices and apply for a school-based apprenticeship onsite in 2025.
