Dr Kamal Dhaliwal

Dr Kamal Dhaliwal is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience and specialises in working with adult clients presenting with anxiety, panic, depression, post-traumatic stress, effects of childhood trauma and workplace stress, as well as working with couples experiencing relationship difficulties

Kamal graduated with an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland, and also holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Griffith University. He has supervised both provisional and fully registered psychologists  as well as postgraduate Masters and PhD level students Griffith University. Kamal has also acted as a professional mentor for the University’s Mentoring Program.

Kamal is chair of the BUSY Schools Board, consults in Private Practice and  supervises the Clinical program and Therapy staff at Gunnebah Addiction Retreat.

In addition to his clinical work, Kamal also has extensive experience in the area of child abuse, neglect and family dysfunction and has been actively involved in the Gold Coast community assisting youth in need. He has a keen interest in helping young people reach their full potential and develop the skills to live happy and fulfilling lives.
